You can now filter by color. Hold shift and click on one of the mini notes on the top of the page.
If you enter a name of a workspace that does not exist, it will automatically be created for you.
If you want to just see the features of webnote, feel free to explore the sample workspace.
Webnote is a tool for taking notes on your computer. It allows you to quickly write something down during a meeting, class, or any other time that you have a web browser available.
You start by creating a workspace and creating notes in the workspace. You can save your workspace at any time and return to them from the same computer or any other computer. You can also share your notes with others by providing the workspace name (or url) to a friend.
You can now filter by color. Hold shift and click on one of the mini notes on the top of the page.
There’s a known bug with how Safari encodes notes when saving. If the text on your notes is in ASCII (most English characters), then there are no problems. However, if you’re notes contains non-English characters, Safari encodes them in an unreadable format for Firefox/IE users. I’m working on a fix, but it’s complicated because I want to maintain compatibility with existing notes.
Update: This should now be fixed. Notify me if you have any problems.
I’ve added some documentation for Webnote. Hopefully that will make it easier for people to make rich workspaces like this one.
