That's a good point. With something so totally open, spamming is a big risk. All to do with trust, I think. I don't think this would work liker a wiki in that this (Webnote) is more intended for quick notes rather than a repository, so to speak. Great you find the informality encourages you to leave comments!

But how long do you think it'll be before you get people spamming here, trying to sell you xyz etc the whole email problem? Or could it work like a wiki? The rss link is very cool. And one other weird thing: I hardly ever leave comments on a blog. But saw your post and saw the post-its and here I am typing away. Possibly because it seems so informal, it really is like leaving a note on a board.

I've just seen it on your blog and I thought I'd take you up on the offer of leaving a note... This absolutely rocks!! It's a superb little tool - not very secure, but I suppose you need to know the exact URL to find a workspace - so it's secure in that sense... hmmm I might have some uses for this - mostly chat heheheh Cheers Jack slimboyfat@gmail.com

One other thing about the Gmail notifier - you can set an option so that clicking on a mailto URL in a web page starts a Gmail email rather than Outlook. But it doesn't work - doing that starts an Outlook email. Probably a bug. Tell Google.
