I think the politics in china is interesting, especially since the politics we know has to do with like one-fourth the size. I wonder the sheer size of china relative to america does to the dynamic of politics that people in that country experience...

I would like to know more about underlying reasons why China feels that it needs to reunite with Taiwan, a self governing indepedent island, which is home to people of a distinct and different culture than that of the Chinese. Why is it so stuck on regaining control since the Tawainese obviously prefer independence?
